Liam Fitzgerald Gets Back on Track

Liam Fitzgerald is a talented singer-songwriter with an edge of pop from Essex. He’s spent the last 10 years front-manning an indie band and performing shows all across the uk. Liam has now turned the next page in his career, deciding to endeavour in a solo project- something which he plans to make permanent. He has made sure to write and produce all of the tracks himself and blends a range of genres from blues, pop and even soul.

Liam released two singles on the 14th February 2020 to mark Valentine’s day and as expected these two records are written about two different aspects of life surrounding love. The first of the two singles, ‘Take me to Places’ is a product of the yearning feelings of wanting to travel the world with a loved one and the sentiment being that no matter where you are in the world, it doesn't matter as long as you’re with the person you love.

‘Back on Track’ being the second, was actually one of the first songs Liam wrote after taking a long needed hiatus from music. He wrote this track when he was once again falling in love with music and when he felt fully refreshed.

Both of these tracks are in complete contrast to each other and in a brilliant way- ‘Take me to Places’ is a strikingly pop sounding record that has a more solemn tone. The production has more of a driving rhythm with the ‘four on the floor’ backing and dance approach to the atmospheric sounds.

Back on track couldn't have been more of an apt title for this track. You can really hear in the diction of Liam’s voice that he is truly refreshed. This track gives you confidence for Liam as you can tell he has confidence in himself. This track really echoes home the importance of taking time out if your passion is momentarily lost.

Both of these tracks are well constructed songs and they certainly make us eager to hear the next songs in the pipeline for Liam’s 2020.
