Magnetic and encapsulating is the best way to sum up 'How To Find Perfection', the latest offering from London hailing duo Silk Cinema. The pairing has struck gold with their newest release which comes packed with glorious vocal melodies and infectious guitar licks that wrap around grooving bass lines.
Discussing the release the pair explain:
“I think I had to write this song to be okay with never being able to find perfection. As humans we learn a lot as we go on our journey of life. ‘How To Find Perfection’ is really about the stage I am at in my life now. I’ve learned to care less. I’m not perfect nor will I ever be, and it feels so good to be okay with it!”
This independent duo emerged onto the scene in 2017, since releasing a string of singles that have been well received by online blogs, as well as their debut album ‘Spells’ in 2019. Fusing together influences from indie-R&B, electro-pop, jazz and neo-soul, Silk Cinema have created a chilled and contemporary sonic signature that feels akin to floating on a cloud. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Sade, Steely Dan and Jessie Ware, this duo evoke a sound comparable to some of R&B’s brightest names of the moment, including Sinead Harnett and Raveena. Silk Cinema is poised for great things, and they are certainly an act to keep your eye on.
