How’d You Feel? , produced by his friend and long-term collaborator One Eye, shows a cohesive and artistically considered approach to music, as well as a unique and creative writing style driven by a funk rhythm and dreamy, abstract melodic RnB.
renzo says: “HOW D’YOU FEEL? is a bit of an existential anthem for me. It’s just me trying to express that feeling of having a loud and unpleasant voice of doubt in your head that chases you wherever you go. The song is about trying your best to get away from that critical voice and the dissociation that goes with that, but at the end of the day accepting that it will always be there no matter what. This coupled with the existential outburst in the middle-8 makes for some pretty bleak lyrics but with the pretty chords and the funky bass, as well as the cool beat and beautifully layered production from One Eye, I hope anyone who listens to it will appreciate the balance of the song, maybe relate to it and have a nice lil bop to it!“
