Since releasing his latest album 'Wind, Town & Flowers' back in 2025, Futurecop! has continued to push the boundaries of modern synth-pop music making, this time with the new single 'I'm Missing You' ft. YUNA. Previously an album track, the spotlight shift looks to allow the track to get the necessary attention it deserves, with an accompanying music video directed by Anise Mariko Lew, alongside Yumiko Kobayashi.
Diving into the themes embedded into the track, the artist explains, “I’m Missing You is really where the whole Wind, Town & Flowers project began. One evening I watched a Japanese TV show on Netflix called Beach Boys, and I completely fell in love with it. It sent me down a rabbit hole of binge-watching similar shows, from Takuya Kimura dramas to Orange Days. That world of innocent, wholesome, inspirational and emotional storytelling became the spark for this track. To make the track feel authentic, I searched for the right voice and discovered a Japanese singer called YUSA. As soon as I heard her, I knew she was perfect.”
