Jack Simpson spotlights new single 'The Crucifix of San Damiano'

Jack Simpson has been making a buzz recently as he looks to spotlight his recent EP, 'Jack Simpson is Looking Up at The Trees'. A six-track offering that navigates indie-rock with his trademark wit and charm, the project has earned him critical acclaim due to its astute songwriting with finesse and maturity. The release additionally features 'The Crucifix of San Damiano', a striking effort, which tells a gripping story, complete with religious imagery and the Simpson-esque charm.

Diving into the project, Jack reflects on how far he has come since making his debut, and looking at how much of a milestone the project is, explaining, “This is a step up for me as the recording has improved immensely. Session musicians helped, but the strong songwriting is the key. As usual, a diverse range of subjects from babies to St Francis are covered with charm and humour.”
