Miles Jenson returns with “Country Club,” the striking lead single from his upcoming EP Sunshine Goldmine, out June 20th via King Garbage (Jon Batiste, The Weeknd). Pairing lush, groove-laced production with razor-sharp lyricism, Jenson takes aim at the class and racial disparities in how addiction is portrayed in the media.

Inspired by a news segment on Atlanta’s “Heroin Triangle,” Jenson’s opening verse pulls no punches: “Quarterback in cotillion / Prom queens on heroin / Father on Ashley Madison / Detox with a four car drive.”

It’s a potent preview of Sunshine Goldmine—a genre-blurring, soulfully cinematic three-song EP that explores personal growth and political critique in equal measure. With nods to Stax Records and the literate intensity of Fiona Apple, Jenson continues to carve out a fearless space in modern songwriting—unflinching, artful, and utterly his own.
