Punt Guns prick ears with their latest huge record titled 3POTS

Unique musical duo ‘Punt Guns’ are causing ripples in all kinds of musical genres right now. The duo have dropped another track to their impressive back catalogue of concisely branded music in the form of the track 3POTS. Check out the release here.

The pair became a duo when Samura1 found himself in awe of Karisma as he swept the stage with his bass guitar at a school rock concert and approached him shortly afterwards. They then both started to work on formulating their own sound and came up with their truly unique brand merging the lines been electronic rock and pop since 2017.

Punt Guns have been working on this widely expected debut LP for over two years and all that hard work has led up to this very moment. They have been working hard in pressing conditions and have several releases under their belt already for 2020, including INsideU and Cyber Dreams Future Funk Squad which have already been well received.

3POTS instantly drills home a familiar vocal style with a very individual production style. At a first listen it could very well be compared to the workings of Nine In Nails or similar, with its huge drum track and Muse-esque bassline. Every time you listen to this record you’re lulled into a false sense of expecting heavy roaring guitar riffs as the chorus drops and yet you get a big wave of synth instead, which is brilliant.

The vocal style echoes early Massive Attack and there is a very understandable reason as to why- Glen Nicholls who orchestrated the remix of Future Funk Squad has worked for NIN and the Prodigy and has been a pioneer for the Breakbeat sound which is featured throughout this number. Overall, this is very well organised chaos, if such a thing exists.
