Tonner's upcoming debut album, Walls Come Down, is due out in the coming months and is shaping up nicely. The first single off the project "Volcano" was an indie pop gem that sounded great but this new track "Castles" really took both his sound and his songwriting ability into new territory. Tonner is also apart of The 502's, a band on the rise that bas had a big year, but the Tonner solo side project is something special. Read a quote on the release via Tonner below now and under that stream "Castles!"
“This song is dedicated to friends of mine who have passed away. People I knew from my teenage years, that I can remember learning instruments together and playing our first shows together. It's shocking when someone leaves before their time. While I don't personally believe in an afterlife, but I do believe that nobody who's been loved is ever really gone. They live on in our spirits. For me, this means I'm constantly dedicating myself to be the best I can be, not only on behalf of myself but for those who can't be here. I know there are a lot of people out there who have dealt with the tragedy of losing loved ones, especially in the last few pandemic years. I wrote this song to try and bring myself some healing and I hope it can do the same for others in its own small way.” - Tonner
