Paying homage to a classic track, ANTIPOP MVMT - the project created by artist Ophelia X - delivers a stunning new cover of The Cranberries’ track ‘No Need To Argue’. Incorporating influences from a handful of their other songs, the single release coincides with the anniversary of lead singer, Dolores’, passing; making for a perfect tribute and homage.

Adding her own touch, and a personal feel to the track, Ophelia’s stunning rendition features a delicate piano instrumental that introduces the song; accompanied by gleaming synths set against a euphoric soundscape, that becomes a stunning dedication to the Cranberries’ entire discography. And featuring prominently on the sonic landscape are Ophelia’s powerful vocals and gentle cadences, that glide throughout the song with reverbs whispering in and out.

Talking about the track, Ophelia explains: “Dolores O'Riordan of the Cranberries is one of my greatest idols. She is the reason I started writing my own songs. I can't think of records that I had on repeat more than the Cranberries as a 90's teen. She was with me for literally every heartbreak and every time I listen to their music I am taken back to a montage of my teenage and young adult self. When she passed it felt like heartbreak. I wanted to do something to honor her this year, to pay respect. The cover actually contains 7 of their songs within the song ... I'm curious if folks can pick them out - some are very obvious and some very subtle.”

Having already written over 500 songs, Ophelia is driven by the burning desire to create and produce, and we can expect a lot more from the rising talent in the future.
