“Left Right” is the latest addition to a rapidly growing catalogue from Palestinian-American electronic artist Disco Proof.

Raised in the US, Disco Proof maintained a connection with their Palestinian heritage through childhood summers spent with family in Amman, Jordan. Those experiences have subsequently found their way into a developing production language incorporating elements such as maqam scales, oud and darbuka.

The producer describes that broader style as “Y2K electronica”, drawing on the experimental electronic music of the late 1990s and early 2000s while filtering it through personal identity and contemporary production.

New single “Left Right” takes that approach into a more direct club setting. Built around tech-house rhythms and a simple dance concept, it signals the beginning of a stronger focus on dancefloor material.
