"Moving Spaces" is easily one of the strongest synthwave-meets-pop albums of the year. Produced by Robert Harder (Brian Eno, David Byrne, Neneh Cherry, Sohodolis, Babyshambles), the album is out now via Outland Recordings. Armed with ten-tracks straight from the heart, this effortless debut album will easily go down in Laura's history.
Speaking about the incredible release, Laura Dre states, “Moving Spaces is the title track on my debut solo album. The whole album covers themes of unrequited love and this song is about moving backwards and forwards in love. The lyrics refer to an 'oasis' which can be taken as a metaphor for the loneliness and sometimes one-way traffic in feeling love for someone else. But I use indirect writing styles and a lot of the tracks on this album have multi-dimensional meanings which can be interpreted in their own way for the listener.”
Wanting to change the world of electronic pop with her rare contralto voice, Laura is influenced by enchanting artists Shirley Manson and Alison Goldfrapp, whilst bringing her own authenticity to the table. Standing up for originality and equality, Laura has performed at some of the world’s biggest LGBTQ+ events (Gay Pride London & Brighton, L-Beach, GoGo Festival). No stranger to the stage, Laura has performed all across the globe on stages in Greece, France, England, Canada, USA, Croatia and Germany, and even opened for pop legend Kim Wilde.
