Hearing Jasmine Power’s newest single "LEAP" for the first time felt like stepping into a widescreen moment I didn’t know I needed. From the opening piano lines, I was pulled into something cinematic yet deeply personal, a pop song that breathes and pauses in all the right places. Jasmine’s vocals soar effortlessly above the staccato rhythms, carrying both strength and vulnerability, and by the time the chorus hit, I felt that rush of euphoria that makes you want to move and reflect at the same time. The imagery of train stations and goodbyes landed hard, capturing that ache of leaving while still hoping. Even as a first-time listener, the sense of longing (a.k.a. the Welsh word "hiraeth") came through clearly –- a longing for home, for a version of yourself, for a dream still unfolding. "LEAP" feels uplifting without being naïve, joyful without ignoring sacrifice. It’s bright, soulful pop that invites you to be fearless and take the jump alongside her.
