Dublin based indie 4-piece Magazines assemble a contrast of light and gritty tones in their newest release ‘Happy Alone’. Cath Leahy’s soft tone is delicately layered onto warm fuzzy melodies, with empowering lyrics threaded through the vibrant track.
The band’s artistry is a fresh take on lo-fi, alternative and indie styles, reminiscent of the sounds of Wolf Alice and Pillow Queens. Quickly making a name for themselves on the Dublin live music scene before Covid-19, and a collection of stand out singles already under their belt, the band have all the elements to continue storming their way towards stardom.
