‘P!T’ launches Welcome To Future’s youth-led punk movement

A demand for louder music sits at the centre of Welcome To Future’s new single, “P!T”.
The Hamburg-based artist has released the track as both a criticism of punk’s declining presence within youth culture and an attempt to revive its values for a different era. Driven by heavy guitar work and chant-ready refrains, the song encourages young people to step away from constant scrolling and become more involved in their communities.
Welcome To Future describes the wider project as an inclusive movement where people can express themselves regardless of appearance, background, religion, identity or sexuality. That outlook will also shape his forthcoming EP Grenzen, which is set to examine contemporary pressures ranging from climate fears to political polarisation.
The 18-year-old has developed the material with producer Peter Hoffmann, whose previous credits include Falco and Tokio Hotel. His music brings together classic punk directness and more cinematic modern-rock production, drawing on influences such as Palaye Royale, Green Day, Kraftklub and Måneskin.
“P!T” provides the first major statement from that developing sound.
