Slough artist Kendow shares football-inspired ‘Lionesses Of England’

Women’s football provides the inspiration for the latest single from Slough-based artist Kendow.

“Lionesses Of England” is a dance-pop track written in celebration of the England women’s national team, with Kendow focusing on the players’ enthusiasm, effort and connection with supporters.

The production combines guitar and keyboards with programmed drums and vocals, creating a bright and accessible sound around the football-focused lyrics.

Kendow’s wider musical journey has developed independently in Berkshire, where he works on songs during his time away from employment. Music serves as both a creative goal and a personal outlet, with the artist favouring a simple approach centred on making songs people can enjoy.

The new release may also be the beginning of a small series of football-related tracks. Kendow has confirmed plans for another song, “England Women Come Together”, which is expected to follow in the months ahead.
