Following up the release of her captivating self-titled debut album in 2017, Russian artist Zaritza has been pushing the boundaries of her sound ever since, and now returns with her spellbinding new single ‘When I Want It’.
Channelling a broad and textured aesthetic throughout, ‘When I Want It’ sees her open herself up to a multitude of different genres. With notable nods to the sounds of Radiohead and Massive attack, her latest gem is a rich and dynamic return that showcases her as one of the more exciting names to be emerging right now.
Speaking about the new track, Zaritza said, “When I Want It is a celebration of female sexual freedom. It’s written from the perspective of a strong, independent woman who isn’t afraid to sing about her sexual desires and who finds joy in her self-pleasure. She does it when she wants it and how she wants it, without any fear of judgement or shame. She loves herself and isn’t afraid to express it”.
